• Daimler Truck and Bus Brands; Mercedes-Benz, FUSO, Freightliner Trucks along with Mercedes-Benz Buses geared to provide uninterrupted support across Southern Africa

“For all who keep the world moving”. It was a year ago when Daimler Trucks & Buses (DTBSA) launched this mission statement. At this time, we could not have anticipated an unprecedented crisis that is the COVID-19 pandemic. Even during these challenging times, to keep the world moving remains our undisputed promise says Michael Dietz; CEO Daimler Trucks & Buses Southern Africa.

Over the last couple of weeks, Daimler Trucks & Buses adequately structured and resourced its dealer network and teams across Southern Africa, to offer uninterrupted support to customers delivering essential goods and services to preserve the health and safety of its people.

In light of the lockdown extension, Daimler Trucks and Buses Southern Africa together with its valued partners would like to confirm their commitment to work diligently to meet their customer’s immediate requirements as they deliver essential goods and services. Customer focus remains a priority for the DTBSAbrands, especially knowing how to best serve each customer in these times whilst keeping their employees safe, adhering to the law, and following the instructions from government.

The Daimler Trucks and Bus teams are fully available to field any business related queries specific to the delivery of essential services. Furthermore, the workshop, spare parts and roadside assistance teams continue to operate with the highest level of precaution, as stipulated by the World Health Organization and local health authorities in the Department of Health and National Institute of Communicable Diseases,to protect the safety of the customers and ensure maximum uptime for essential services vehicles.

In closing Michael adds, “We would like to take this opportunity to relay our heartfelt acknowledgment and express our deepest gratitude to all our customers and their entire teams especially the drivers. In addition, I would like to thank our valueddealers and all our employees working tirelessly to keep our world moving and commend the “Ubuntu” that has been displayed by the South African peoplethroughout this period. Together we will get through this.”
